CodeWords Chrome Extension

What is it for?

The CodeWords Chrome Extension allows a CodeWords workflow to use your session cookies to perform actions, e.g. scraping, input data, on any websites that may require your login.

This means you can have a workflow scrape data on LinkedIn (see as an example) on your behalf as if you were doing it manually.

🔧 Step-by-Step Installation

1. From the Chrome Web Store

  • Go to the official

  • Add to Chrome

  • A pop-up will appear asking for confirmation. Click “Add Extension.”

✅ Once installed, you’ll see the CodeWords icon (</>) appear in your browser toolbar.

2. Manual Installation

🖐 Facing issues with the installation? Try installing it manually.

  • Download the latest version of the extension

  • Uninstall any previous version of the extension in Settings > Manage Extensions

  • Find the CodeWords Chrome Extension and click on Remove

  • Unzip the new extension

  • Toggle Developer Mode on the top right

  • Click on Load Unpacked and select the unzipped folder


🧩 Troubleshooting

• Extension not visible? Try restarting your browser.

• Not working on some pages? Make sure you’ve granted permissions in the extension settings.
