Do I need to pay to use CodeWords?
Every new user receives $5 in free starter credits with no payment card required. On the free plan, users can also access up to $2/day in credits, up to 5 times per calendar month.
Beyond the free credits and allowance, you’ll need to subscribe to a paid plan or top up your wallet to continue building and running workflows.
What’s included in the free plan?
The free plan includes:
$5 one-time starter credits
Up to $2/day in additional usage up to 5 times per calendar month when the your balance hits $0.
Can I buy extra credits?
Yes. Paid subscribers can manually top up their wallet at any time but not on the free plan.
Do unused credits roll over?
Yes. Unused subscription credits roll over into future billing periods on paid plans.
What’s the difference between Pro and Business plans?
The Business plan includes:
More monthly credits
2× top-up bonuses compared to 1.5× on Pro
1:1 consultations with the team
Higher workflow execution limits
Increased workflow building capacity
Priority support for larger-scale automation usage
Can I transfer credits between accounts?
Currently, credits are tied to the account or workspace where they were purchased.
What happens to scheduled workflows if my credits reach zero?
Scheduled workflows may fail to run, and you’ll receive an email notification asking you to top up your account.
Can I estimate workflow costs before running them?
Yes. After a workflow runs for the first time, you’ll see estimated costs per execution on the Usage page, where you can also review your cycle spend, top category, and a per-chat / per-workflow breakdown of credits.
How can I see how my credits are being used?
Go to the Usage page to review your spending across chats and workflow runs. It shows:
Cycle spend — total credits used this billing cycle, with a daily chart split between Chat and Runs.
Wallet, Plan, and Top Category — your current balance, your subscription tier, and where most of your credits are going.
Day-by-day breakdown — click any day to see exactly which chats and workflows consumed credits that day, with per-item call counts and costs.
